Cincinnati Bell Agile Administrative Assistant in Akron, Ohio

Position : Agile Administrative Assistant

Location : Akron, OH

Job Purpose :

This position is responsible for a wide variety of administrative support activities. The person in this job is constantly in contact with highly confidential information including unannounced business plans and personnel issues.

Essential Functions :

  • 70% - Support Vice Presidents.

  • Schedule and appointment management.

  • Complete and file organized documents such as payroll approval, bill payments, travel itineraries, etc.

  • Handling all confidential information required of that position (e.g., payroll approvals, promotions, sales compensation, confidential customer information, etc.)

  • Reviewing and helping put together company presentations.

  • 20% - Priority setting/Correspondence Management.

  • Respond to questions and provide information on a full array of departmental items.

  • Interdepartmental leadership and interaction with peers and other Vice Presidents.

  • 10% - Event Coordination

  • Responsible for coordinating quarterly management meetings and other team meetings.

  • Responsible for Review process coordination with HR.

Education :

Two years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate's Degree or equivalent

Relevant Work Experience:

5 to 7 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Demonstrate communication skills, both oral and written

  • Demonstrate organization skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize work appropriately

  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills and decision-making abilities

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent follow-through skills

  • Must work well in a team-oriented environment

  • Skilled Keyboard (typing)

  • Document development (Desk Top/Graphics)

  • PC Skills in the following areas: Spreadsheet, Word-processing, Departmental specific software

  • Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills

  • Must be flexible in terms of work schedule.

  • Must be available for extended hour project work and for anticipated critical deadlines that extend the workday

  • Tact and assertiveness must be skillfully balanced in dealing with internal and external contacts

  • Must understand the roles of the Company staff and be responsive to requests and helpful in educating them on various processes
