Cincinnati Bell Account Manager - SMB in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position : Account Manager - SMB

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Job Purpose

The Account Manager plays a key role in the Business Sales process. The position is the primary contact for all face-to-face, proactive sales efforts for a variety of strategic and newly emerging products and services for a select segment of small to medium business customers. Customer satisfaction as well as the financial performance of a specific territory of accounts will directly relate to the performance of the Account Manager. The successful Account Manager will develop and utilize sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.

Essential Functions

  • Strategize territory and acquire new clients

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships

  • Manage the sales cycle and close business

  • Uncover new revenue opportunities and deploy resources as appropriate

  • Prepare and present effective proposals

  • Develop sales plans

  • Understand CBT's strategic direction and sales implementation processes

  • Provide generalist level product knowledge and expertise

  • Understand and manage client's business: strategies and business opportunities

  • Demonstrate business acumen

  • Lead design of customer's tailored solution

  • Interface with sales engineers and other internal resources as appropriate

  • Maintain a sales funnel and provide regular updates to the Sales Manager

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience

  • A salesperson from a competitive environment desired

  • Prior training/experience in data, voice, video and/or image communications, selling skills, and proposal generation preferred

Education

Four years of High School or equivalent
