Corporate Attorney

Job Purpose

The primary responsibilities for this role include compliance, writing/reviewing contracts and assisting Corporate Counsel with legal actions brought against the Company.

Essential Functions

-Primary legal resource and trusted advisor responsible for legal compliance of business groups and functions to include but not limited to: Marketing/Advertising, Consumer Product/Pricing, Corporate Policies Manual, customer-facing Data Privacy and Technology/ecommerce

-Manage large, complex projects, establishing BAU processes that incorporate best practices and the Company's strategic planning

-Lead strategic change and improve/facilitate cross-functional communication via interaction with and advice to a wide array of CBT & CBTS business groups and functions

-Principal negotiator on behalf of company in wide range of settings

-Research legal issues, laws, rulings and regulations and determine how they impact the Company

-May conduct research on human resources issues, such as employment/labor law, employee benefits and compensation


-Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

-License to practice law in the state of Ohio


-2-3 years' experience

-International transactions and business experience a plus

-Civil litigation and courtroom experience a plus

Special Knowledge/Skills

-Working knowledge of employment and corporate laws impacting the Company

-Efficient management of outside counsel on as-needed basis

-Excellent communication, negotiation and writing skills

-Tremendous insight on a wide range of legal topics

-Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with quick response time

-Professional demeanor and team player with high degree of confidentiality a must

Supervisory Responsibilities

-No direct supervisory responsibility; may supervise outside counsel on project-specific work
