This position reports to the Cincinnati, Ohio, office but requires that the employee be willing to relocate to assigned worksites at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and reside within commuting distance of the current assigned worksite.
CBTS Technology Solutions LLC d/b/a CBTS seeks DevOps Engineer to partner with the Architects, Dev, Product and Business owners, and other interfacing teams, to ensure implementations are architected and designed from the aspect of production resiliency; develop tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications; real-Time troubleshooting of mission-critical application workflows and incorporate feedback to product development; work closely with dev teams during the design phase, build and perform infrastructure upgrades to support the availability and reliability of our applications; monitor the Technical debt and other inhibitors in the environment and work in collaboration with Product teams to design an effective solution roadmap to remediate the risks; flexibility to participate in on-call support rotation; liaise with business team to gather requirements; perform incident, capacity and problem management for the cloud servers; patching and vulnerability remediation on Linux servers; secured socket layer certificate management; design automation framework; perform hardware diagnosis test hardware failures; write playbooks to perform configuration; manage various web server related issues such as SSL handshake failures, update JKS trustore, SSL cert renewals, collect tcpdumps during application timeout; perform upgrades in the environment, report bug fixes and enhancement; work on clusters to perform deployment break-fix performed in CICD pipelines; work on Vulnerability remediation for all the components in orchestration clusters including docker images, RHEL operating system etc.; create adequate documentation for knowledge transfers; excellent debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical discipline; 4 years experience working in an Enterprise (25,000+ users) IT environment; 4 years experience in Linux or Windows engineering in a High Availability Enterprise (25,000+ users) environment; 4 years experience in hybrid cloud infrastructure engineering migrating to the cloud and Containerization on either GCP or AWS platform; 4 years combined experience developing automated deployment playbooks in Ansible and Puppet Cisco UCS hardware management; 4 years combined experience in managing redhat openshift clusters to perform deployment with CICD pipelines using jenkis, xlr, nginx; 4 years experience in engineering with JBOSS related issues such as: SSL handshake failures, update JKS trustore, SSL cert renewals, collect tcpdumps during application failures; 4 years combined experience developing and managing log monitoring reports with Splunk, Appdynamics, and Dynatrace; 4 years combined experience developing all project documentation with Confluence and Jira; required Certification: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0.
