CBTS is in search of a full-time Sr. Network Engineer resource in the Cincinnati area. The Sr. Network Engineer will be responsible for the support and maintain corporate data networks, including cellular wireless voice networks.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Support, implement and design corporate data networks including but not limited to:

  • LAN

  • WAN

  • Metro Ethernet

  • WLAN

  • Cellular

  • Internet access

  • Broadband services

  • Support, implement and design corporate data network using the following technologies but not limited to:

  • Splunk

  • Netflow

  • QoS

  • Multicast

  • SNMP

  • EIGRP

  • BGP

  • IPSLA

  • BFD

  • NTP

  • Support and maintain cellular wireless voice and data devices for the enterprise.

  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of data networks and be able to develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency, reliability and performance of these networks.

  • Recommend and implement network monitoring software.

  • Troubleshoot any data related issues and perform root cause analysis.

  • Define and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and diagrams for all data networks.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent work experience is acceptable

  • 7+ years of IT experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise data network administration

  • Be able to conduct short and long-term planning to meet current and future data network requirements.

  • Capable of working independently in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Prioritize and balance multiple tasks and projects.

  • Ability to deliver IT projects on-time and on-budget.

  • Ability to work weekends and after-hours as necessary to resolve operational issues and meet the needs of our business partners.

  • Understand internal controls and change management processes.

  • Have intermediate to advanced knowledge of IP network infrastructure components that support the corporate data network such as the following:

  • Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)

  • Cisco Nexus Data Center Switches (7000 and 9000 Series)

  • Cisco Catalyst PoE Switches (3650 and 3850 Series)

  • Cisco Integrated Services Routers (2900, 3900 and 4400 Series)

  • Cisco Aggregation Services Routers (1000 Series)

  • Cisco Wireless Controllers (5500 Series)

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • CCNP

  • The role provides advanced technical and project management leadership to the IT Network Services team for the support, implementation and design of data networks.
