Office 365 Solutions Engineer

Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for the design, deployment, infrastructure and architecture of cloud and Office 365 platforms and technologies for our customers. You will provide guidance and support of cloud and Office 365 platforms and technologies. The focus is to provide solutions to assist customers with integrations and migrations to Office 365, including email, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, OneDrive, Sharepoint online, Skype for Business and the security considerations associated with them. You will also work within the hybrid cloud strategy including operating public and private cloud technologies (Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware), leveraging and learning with hands on experience in cloud and Office 365 operations. You will work closely with the other Cloud engineering and architecture teams & the broader organization supporting day to day operational incident, change, and problem management cases.

Essential Functions

•70% - Design, deployment and integration of Office 365 and cloud platforms and technologies for customers. This includes educating our customers and support teams to ensure seamless ongoing availability and performance of the environments

•20% - Support cloud practice leaders with technical presales and SOW development

•10% - Self training, growth, education

Education

•Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

•MCSA – Microsoft (Required)

•MCSE – Microsoft (Preferred)

•A+ Certification - Preferred

•Network+ Certification - Preferred

•ITIL Foundations - Preferred

Experience/Background

•2 to 3 years experience

•Demonstrated expertise delivering Office 365 solutions, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Sharepoint, and One Drive

•Experience in the design, planning and implementation of Active Directory, ADFS, MFA, and Azure AD

•Experience configuring Office 365 workloads such as OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online and Skype for Business

•Support and administration experience with Exchange Server and Exchange Online - Hybrid deployments

•Exchange to Office 365 migration experience

•Knowledge in configuration and management of Hybrid Exchange environment

•AAD Connect setup and configuration

•Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS)

•Experience with DLP, and EOP (Exchange Online Protection)

•Understanding of public cloud, which may including Azure and/or Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform

•18-24 months hands on Powershell / Perl / Ruby / Python (or similar) expertise

•Understanding of OS image building, managing, maintaining, and patching (VMware, Amazon AMI’s, OpenStack Ubuntu / CentOS)

•Demonstrated operational solution management, facilitation and customer service interactions

•Must have virtualization technology experience

•Installation and troubleshooting of industry standard operating systems

•Support and troubleshooting of desktops and servers

•Prior operational support of Enterprise systems

•Experience with ticketing systems and CMDB

•Strong Communications and interpersonal skills required
