Product Manager - Managed Wi-Fi

Job Purpose:

The Product Manager of Managed Wi-Fi is responsible for the successful definition, deployment, and sales/channel support of the set product line across the defined market(s). The Product Manager is also responsible for the evaluation, execution, process definition and financial performance of the product line relative to corporate goals. Implement and track product/pricing strategies to acquire new customers; upsell, cross-sell, and retain existing customers; and increase revenue and profit while balancing activations, churn, and ARPU across all consumer products.

Essential Functions:

1. Product Life Cycle Management - 40%

• Coordinates products/offers throughout their life cycle from strategic definition to end-of-life planning

• Develop business case, financial forecast and pricing strategy for new/existing products in line with corporate goals

• Defines, tracks and reports on key metrics (overall revenue, margin, activations, churn, ARPU plans, product performance, etc.) of product line performance

• Remains current on local market requirements, latest competitive product information and technology/market trends to meet customer and business objectives

2. Partners with sales and marketing teams to develop sales aids, build excitement and share knowledge of the product portfolio, as well as gather input on future product enhancements - 20%

3 . Leads cross-functional teams across the business (Marketing, IT, Call Center, Sales, Finance, Legal, Network Operations, etc.) to ensure successful implementation and continuous improvement of product initiatives and programs to increase sales, reduce churn, increase revenue or margin - 10%

4 .Leads the definition of detailed business and functional requirements while coordinating the development of supporting documentation - 10%

5 .Develops and manages strategic partner/vendor relationships to support product strategy - 10%

6. Other duties as required - 10 %


Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Certifications / Accreditations / Licenses:

•Aruba ACMA/ACMP or Cisco Equivalent Certifications a Plus

•Project Management Certification Preferred

•Salesforce Experience a Plus


3 to 5 years

Previous Work Experience:

•Wi-Fi & wireless experience a plus

•3+ years of Product Management, Product Development, Sales, Sales Support, Operations, Finance, or Marketing Process Improvement Experience

•Vendor Management Experience

•Experience defining detailed product requirements

•Experience defining/improving processes

•Excellent organizational and time-management skills

•Experience developing processes, procedures and scopes of work

•Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills

•Understanding of financial statements and business case planning

•Experience dealing with outside suppliers and vendors

•Working knowledge of communications industry services, competitive providers and trends in the telecommunications industry

•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio

•Strong oral and written communication skills

Work Environment:

•Majority office environment with a portion of time required for off-site customer meetings

•Overnight travel may be required less than 5% of the time for site survey work and customer meetings
