Cincinnati Bell Senior Accountant - External Reporting in Cincinnati, Ohio
Position : Senior Accountant - External Reporting
Location : Cincinnati, OH
This position reports to the Senior Manager - Financial Reporting and helps to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the quarterly and annual financial information provided to senior management, the Board, and the SEC. This position is also responsible for providing suggestions for ongoing qualitative improvements to the external reporting process. In addition, this position performs internal control and SOX related compliance procedures, certain month-end close activities and assists with the benefit plan audits.
Minimum of 20% attendance in office is required for this position.
Assist with the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K
Assists with the preparation of the financial statements and footnotes for the benefit plan audits
Prepares memos to document the accounting treatment of various issues throughout the year
Reviews processes and develops solutions to automate and improve tasks for increased efficiency
Coordinates with other accounting processes and other miscellaneous monthly close tasks
Assists with lease accounting and application of ASC 842
- Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
2 to 3 years of accounting work experience
Previous financial reporting or external audit experience preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good work management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills required to interact with other business groups
Computer and system proficiency
No Supervisory Responsibility
