Cincinnati Bell Staff Auditor in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position : Staff Auditor

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Job Purpose :

Support all activities of the Internal Audit team

Essential Functions :

  • Perform control testing and document results as part of IA's Financial, Operational, and IT audit reviews

  • Interview process owners to gain an understanding of their processes

  • Document understanding of processes within narratives and/or flow charts

  • Coordinate with process owners to obtain documentation needed to execute testing

  • Assist the IA Senior and Manager with performing risk assessments, identifying controls, and determining testing strategies for Financial, Operational, and IT audit reviews

  • Assist the IA Senior and Manager with preparing high quality audit reports

  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley testing in conjunction with co-source partner

  • Perform direct assistance controls and substantive testing for external auditor

  • Assist with special project work

Education :

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

General Work Experience :

No experience to 1 year

Previous Work Experience :

  • Preferred previous work experience:

  • Prior Public Accounting (Assurance/Advisory) experience

  • Experience with information technology / information systems and related ITGCs

  • Experience using data analytics tools (ACL, Power BI, SAS, Tableau, etc.)

  • Experience with Workiva Wdesk

  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills

  • Advanced working knowledge of SOX, COSO, PCAOB requirements, IIA Standards, and GAAP

  • CPA, CIA, or CISA designation (Recommended for advancement)

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects / priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.) and Microsoft SharePoint

Supervisory Responsibility :

Supervise Interns / Co-ops on an as-needed basis
