Cincinnati Bell HR Immigration & Compliance Coordinator in Remote, United States

Position : HR Immigration & Compliance Coordinator

Job Purpose : This position will serve as the SME for immigration and be responsible for effectively managing immigration processes for the organization by partnering with hiring managers, HR Managers, and legal counsel. Work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end support of immigration and other HR processes. Assist and contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

Essential Functions :

  • Coordinate information and documentation related to immigration activities

  • Ensure proper internal approvals are received for all immigration requests

  • Maintains all immigration/visa records as required by law

  • Maintain communication with employees, managers, and legal counsel while providing prompt assistance and follow-through

  • Facilitate and understand human resources processes and best practices

  • Assist the HR team with various projects as requested

  • Responsible for reviewing and proposing updates to the Employee Handbook as needed

  • Responsible for I-9 oversight; conducting regular audits to ensure compliance, provide guidance to those completing the forms and ensure timely recertification's

Education :

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses :

  • HR Certifications a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

2 to 4 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Immigration support and visa compliance experience is preferred

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and handle requests for sensitive information

  • Ability to work with a high level of integrity, maturity and professionalism

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent follow-through skills

  • Professional written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work appropriately

  • Must work well in a team-oriented environment

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with HRIS and applicant track systems is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Office environment or remote
