In a nutshell, a Strategic Business Consultants mission is to figure out the best ways to engage prospects and existing clients to increase the sales volume and drive more revenue.

A Strategic Business Consultant is responsible for providing analysis of a client and its existing practices, and then makes recommendations necessary for improvements. As a Strategic Business Consultant for clients, you will need to understand their needs -- what they wish to see improved and fixed. This will go a long way in creating strategies that will satisfy them. Strategic Business Consultants use insights obtained from these and other analyses to formulate profit-boosting strategies. A Strategic Business Consultants insight is critical to making smart decisions in the pursuit of long-term business value.

Strategic Business Consultants are generally responsible for helping clients to identify business weaknesses and challenges and determine relevant solutions. With these responsibilities, their position plays a crucial role in any clients' growth and success.

A Strategic Business Consultant periodically researches the needs, wants, and goals from different prospects and target audiences and then incorporates the results into marketing and sales strategies.

In addition to sales and scope management expertise, the Strategic Business Consultant will need general knowledge surrounding the different enterprise architecture domains. Using this experience and knowledge of CBTS's solutions, the Strategic Business Consultant will advise clients on issues related to the digital transformation strategy and complexity trade-offs of technical and business

Essential Functions:

  • You will work alongside account teams on strategic customer accounts to influence and grow the size of opportunities.
  • You will be chartered as a leader in the sales motion in partnership with our account executives.
  • You will be responsible for consulting the CBTS client base on a broad technology set spanning Applications, Platforms, and Operations.
  • You must be able to clearly articulate how applications work, how they interface with infrastructure, and how these components should operate in a production environment.
  • You will be chartered with communicating the CBTS value proposition to technical and non-technical clients. This will include "C" Level Management
  • Participate in the sales and pre-sales process to understand and influence customer business technology objectives and requirements
  • Engage in research as it regards how the client can improve
  • Ensure that propositions are representative of the customer technology strategy, are tangible, that they are deliverable, competitive, and representative of market leadership in the application of technology to addressing business issues
  • Analyze client's business practices and provide recommendations to improve practices utilizing APO
  • Review and understand financial statements of the clients
  • Prepare presentations and negotiate contracts as necessary
  • Adhere to CBTS sales process and methodologies on all opportunity pursuits
  • Maintain proficiency in CBTS service offerings, value propositions, and representative case studies

Education:

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture experience is a plus
  • CCNP or related skills are a plus
  • Public Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) or related certifications are a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

8 to 10 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to be creative and innovative in handling situations
  • Strategic thinker with a sales mentality with a proven ability to execute strategy.
  • General understanding of enterprise architecture concepts
  • Must have a firm grasp on the industry and anticipate trends and movements while balancing maturity and timing.
  • Must have a general understanding of financial modeling and concepts.
  • Must possess the knowledge of deal structures and the ability to creatively create unique deal structures.
  • Must possess an executive presence when working with clients.
  • Must have exceptional whiteboarding and storytelling capabilities.
  • Must have the ability to work without being supervised.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have employee direct reports but does serve as a "lead" role for others doing similar work
