Cincinnati Bell Web Manager in Remote, United States

Position : Web Manager

Job Purpose :

The Web Manager works with leaders in the Marketing, Product, and Brand teams to manage our public facing websites as well as our corporate intranet.

Essential Functions :

  • Day-to-day operations for of all internal and external websites

  • Add or make content changes as provided by Marketing, Product, or Brand Teams

  • Update service components, core software and plugin versions for security and stability

  • Troubleshoot website issues and improve performance

  • Coordinate efforts with key vendors and agencies

  • Make SEO recommendations to stakeholders and supervisors based on use of tools, research and data which support the teams SEO strategy

  • Research keywords and industry trends for pages, blogs and other content based on business needs

  • Analyze traffic and make continual improvement recommendations to stakeholders and supervisors

  • Maintain a good understanding of best practices as it pertains to the technology deployed and under your management

  • Remain technically current through research, books, attending online courses, etc.

  • Assist with the execution of designing and developing strategic web-based content

  • Manage and guide relationships with key vendors and agencies as it pertains to team strategy

  • Be the technical lead to co-workers and/or key vendors and agencies as it pertains to the websites, SEO, increasing traffic, etc.

Education :

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses :

WordPress, HubSpot, Unily, SEO/SEM, Google Analytics courses / certifications or equivalent are a plus

Relevant Work Experience :

5+ years of proven experience leading the technical functions of well-trafficked evolving websites and digital platforms

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Required Soft:

  • Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion and reasoning to address a wide range of problems and develop solutions, and to identify and refer more complex problems to appropriate staff

  • Ability to work on multiple competing projects and plan and prioritize work activities to meet organizational goals and deliverables

  • Highly motivated self-starter, independent learner and worker, with a high energy, strong interpersonal and attention to detail skills

  • Excellent customer service, strong communication skills, both written and oral

Required Technical:

  • Superior knowledge of current web-design trends, standards and best practices

  • Experience with web content management; comfortable working with user interfaces (UI)

  • Understanding of how content, design and user interface work together to create an optimal user experience

  • Experience with website development and maintenance, following a user-centered design approach

  • Expert knowledge and front-end experience of WordPress, HTML 5 and CSS 3

  • Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript and Bootstrap

  • Strong experience building websites across the major browsers and minimizing load times

  • Expert Knowledge of SEO / SEM and associated tools

  • Experience with Google Analytics

Awesome to Have:

  • A passion for web technologies

  • Experience with WPEngine, HubSpot (HubL), Unily, Ahrefs and/or SEMrush

  • Experience with PHP and MySQL or general scripting knowledge

  • Experience with Accessibility Compliance (WCAG, ADA and AODA)

  • Experience with GRDP Compliance and utilizing tools such as CookiePro by OneTrust

  • Experience with LESS or CSS Preprocessors

  • Experience with A/B testing

  • Experience managing and optimizing a website for B2B organization

  • Experience with graphical applications such as Adobe Creative Suite

  • A general eye for design (don't worry, you won't own design!)

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position does not have employee direct reports but does serve as a "lead" role for others doing similar work
